§ 62-256. Easements.

Easements across lots or centered on rear or side lot.
(1)

Utility. Easements across lots or centered on rear or side lot lines shall be provided for utilities where required by the village board and shall be at least ten feet wide.

(2)

Drainage. Where a subdivision is transversed by a watercourse, drainageway, a channel or stream, there shall be provided a stormwater easement or drainage right-of-way conforming substantially with the lines of such watercourse, and such further width or construction, or both, as will be adequate for the purpose. Wherever possible, it is desirable that the drainage be maintained by an open channel with landscaped banks and adequate width for maximum potential volume of flow.
